A Q&A with Angela Hill of IDEA Books, the beautifully bijou, rare mag and book-corner in London’s Dover Street Market, plus her thoughts on Comme des Garcons’ former magazine, Six.

1.    What is Six?

“A great project given away free in the CdG shops in the late eighties – only eight issues, all brilliant!”

2. The photography is legendary in Six, isn’t it?

“Yes! Peter Lindbergh, Bruce Weber, Jeurgen Teller…”

3. People seem to appreciate the rare finds – books, magazines  – more now than before – why is that?

“There seems to be too much – going into a newsagents – literally, hundreds of ‘style’ magazines. I think there is something about books and magazines that were produced in small numbers – some of them done with very little money but a lot of passion (sounds like me)”

4. What’s the most bizarre request for a book / mag you’ve had?

“Sorry! can’t think of an answer or even make up an amusing one.”

5. Can we have ‘10 books / mags you have to see before you die’

(More than 10 here but I could do 100 in seconds)

The fantastic MADE IN USA magazine by the wondrous Bernadette Corporation.

The issue of Italian Vogue where Steven Meisel mimicked the LA superstar trash/stylist lifestyle – Edward Enninful styled it – sorry haven’t got specific date.

I like to eat right on the dirt by Danny Lyon.

The Brooke Book by Brooke Shields.

Apple Design: The Work of the Apple Industrial Design Group – history of Apple Mac design.

Endurance Performance – the NEW BALANCE story.

Some issues of Self Service are near perfection.

The James Wedge book – surreal and indulgent.

Penny Slinger Exorcism.

Flea Markets by Levinson.

Interview magazine with Brooke Shields or Jodie Foster or John McEnroe on the cover.

Play it Again Sam – the film stills book.

Paris Texas – again film stills of the Wender’s movie.”

  3. Jordan donned this pair of shoes, the Nike oxygen Jordan XIX, all through the 2003-2004 NBA season. This pair of sneakers is definitely an awesome offer over an eyesore to say the least. The the front element belonging to the tongue arrives up way as well high, and that fence like design and design going lower it is terrible. There may be considered a velcro strap, that is not assisting the design’s situation either. It helps make the element it is linked to actual physical appearance like just one huge flap is covering the true shoe. It is challenging to discover something excellent to say concerning the way in which this pair looks. This just one could have benefited from the vital idea change.
