Knights Templar graffiti in the church of the Holy Sepulchre.


The stone where Christ’s body was annointed after the crucifixion. It is annointed with rose oil daily by the faithful, and some heathens like to spread their souvenirs on it, to bless them! Yours truly was seething!


This is the entrance to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. The holiest place in all Christendom, and perhaps the most amazing church in the world, as it contains so many of the stations of the cross.


The spot under the altar is where Jesus Christ was crucified. There is a hole which you can reach into and touch the rock. This was the most moving moment of my life.


This is Jerusalem, one of the most amazing cities in the world, for Judaism, Christianity and for the Muslim world. It’s like a massive game of Monopoly, where churches and complete areas have changed hands over centuries, and a place where faith is restored.
